A joke to lighten our hearts

Q: How do you combat a plague of crickets?

A: With 40 starving Oaxacans per hectare.

There is also a phrase: "Todo que camina o vuela, a la cazuela." Everything that walks or flies, in the saucepan it fries.

  1. The funny part about the joke is that the Oaxacans get offended because they think 40 is way to high. When we told one of them that the chapulines were eating all the tomato plants, he started complaining about how there were no more crickets in his community and he said he would bring his family early the next day to harvest some.

  2. That's so funny. So, do they brag that it only takes a few Oaxacans to battle a plague of crickets? Have you eaten any, Nicky?
