The Riddler on Chester Creek

I just got back from burthened pilgrimage, faring provisions to the outpost (from thence we'll soon depart on our journey inland to the Heart of Darkness). On that wintery way, mesaw some mischief I would fain present to you in riddle:

On Chester Creek,
The trail of ice,
What did appear?
Hint: 'twas a device
Of self-propulsion.
Three guesses should suffice!

  1. I can't wait to tell...Ice-skating commuters! How awesome is that? It was Jeff Crompton (he used to be on the Alpine Team) from Alberta and his friend.
We are leaving to Fairbanks today for the races. It will be fun to see Benedict Arnold. I am taking all my luggage by bike (it's not very much but that sounds cool). It's between -16 and -11 centirgrade today, depending on what side of town. But it's really icy cause of some meteorological madness recently.

  2. Cool!
When I was home for lunch Tehben came back from ice-skating on Westchester Lagoon (with Teek). He said it was "perfect."
I wonder if Nicky has skated recently??
